Information
Who ?
Every (youth) archer who is insured can participate at this tournament! A membership in any kind of federation is not required. Though upon registration at the tournament, proof of insurance must be submitted. Without this proof, an exoneration clause (statement on honor that the archery is insured) must be signed or a day/weekend insurance (provided by DEH vzw) is mandatory.
Start
The tournament will start at 11.00 a.m.
Cost
Inscription fee is 7 euro per archer for the complete tournament. At inscription and payment by bank transfer at least 7 days before the competition, the inscription fee is 6 euro per archer for the complete tournament.
Clothing
The clothing is free to choose, though we prefer club clothing.
Program of the tournament
The qualification consists of 36 arrows (12 ends of 3 arrows) with 2 minutes per end. There is no break during the qualification. The qualification is preceded by 2 warming-up ends.
The qualification is used to compose the individual and mixed-team matches for the eliminations. The qualification scores are used to make the team ranking for the exchange cups as well.
The individual eliminations are shot according the WA-rules (non alternating) : set system for recurve and a 15 arrow match for compound.
Starting from the semi-finals, all individual matches will be shot according to the "best-of-5"-system.
All mixed-team matches will be shot according to WA rules (non alternating).
Categories youth
There are 16 individual categories, divided by age, bow type and sex:
- Pupil (born after 2007) : shooting at 12 meters
- Benjamin (born in 2006 or 2007) : shooting at 12 meters
- Cadet (born in 2003, 2004 or 2005) : shooting at 20 meters
- Junior (born in 2000, 2001 or 2002) : shooting at 25 meters
These categories will exist for recurve and compound, both boys and girls. All archers shoot at an official WA 60 cm target. It is allowed to compete in a higher category (larger distance). This has to be demanded at inscription.
There are 6 mixed-team categories, divided by distance and bow type : 12, 20 and 25 meters, for recurve and compound.
Categories adults
There are 9 individual categories, all at 25 meters :
- Senior (born after 1970) : men/women, recurve/compound
- Master (born in 1961-1970) : recurve/compound
- Veterans (born before 1961) : recurve/compound
- Barebow
All archers shoot at an official WA 60 cm target. It is allowed to compete in a higher category. This has to be demanded at inscription.
Youth archers can participate in the senior category. Women master (veteran) can choose to participate in the women senior category or in de masters (veteran) category.
There are 3 mixed-team categories : recurve, compound and barebow.
Team Competition
Each club may register teams (4 archers) to compete for the team awards. There are 2 (3) awards : recurve teams and compound teams (and barebow teams at the adult competition). The number of participating teams per club is unlimited.
Conditions to be satisfied for every team :
- the 4 archers must participate under the same club;
- the 4 archers must shoot the same kind of bow (recurve or compound);
- an archer may only be part of one team;
It is therefore allowed to create teams with men as well as women of different categories.
The scores of the 4 archers of a team will be added (maximum 1440 points). The highest scoring teams of both disciplines win the awards.
Each club may register mixed-teams (2 archers). The number of participating mixed-teams per club is unlimited.
Conditions to be satisfied for every mixed-team :
- both archers must participate under the same club;
- both archers must shoot the same kind of bow (recurve or compound) at the same distance;
- both archers must have a different gender (boy + girl);
- an archer may only be part of one mixed-team;
